Yangabid is a gamified commerce platform. We or Brands list real items, players pay one small daily fee starting at 400 naira, and skill plus timing decides who takes the item home.
The idea
Shopping in Nigeria is a waiting game. We turned it into a playing game.
Most people see something they want online and then wait. Wait for salary, wait for a sale, wait for the price to come down. We wanted to give that person a different door into the same item, one that starts at 400 naira to walk through.
So we built a marketplace that runs in sessions. Every session has a real item behind it, supplied by a listed partner. You pay for the day once, you join as many sessions as your plan covers, and you play. The person holding the most Yangs when the timer ends wins the item outright. No part payment, no voucher, no catch on the other side.
